Day 3 - six hours in

Hello all.

I've had a good day, but it has been my daughter's 9th birthday and I've spent an hour at the gym.

Still on the straight and narrow. The mouth spray is excellent as I can't take too many lozenges.

Much better sleep last night. I am starting to feel that I may be able to do this, but I know that day 6 will be difficult as will week 3 (I have had two previous quit attempts and failed at these points).

I am trying to reinforce my motivators so that I have no room for an excuse.

See you on Friday for my next update.

Congrats for getting through what obviously will have been a busy day.

Sleep is one of the enduring issues that some/most new quitters go through. And then there's the 'dreaded 3s' syndrome. Luckily there are a couple of links in my sig which will hopefully answer some questions you may have surrounding those 2 topics.

Happily there are other members with links in their sigs. Information is power and many of us have transitioned from smoker to ex by reading and educating ourselves.

My immediate advice would be to re-change your thought process from, "...starting to feel that I may be able to do this" to a confidence based position that you will do this. Many of us have and many more shall. You are not any different and succeeding is your goal.

Enjoy,

Cav

Good job. For me day 3 was the worst. If you made it through, you can give yourself a huge pat on the back!
