It's not the end of the world bud a majority of people on this site have done the same. In fact I think its part of the overall process so don't beat yourself up.

The trick is not to continue with it and learn from the experience. Develop strategies that will allow you to cope in different trigger situations - then pat yourself on the back for not smoking. Get yourself Mr Carrs book - it will help.

Oh dear!!!! but well done you didnt smoke a full cig :) However disappointed you feel, focus on your week of doing ace. put it behind you and carry on!!!! its a weeeeeeeeny blip in the great picture. i say dont give yourself a hard time. Im really scared of having even one beer, since stopping i havent had a drop and im a regular drinker. im gearing up to just visiting the pub for a soft drink!!! I know my weakness. Maybe you could better prepare yourself in the event of going to the pub and limit yourself so you stay well in control. Pat yourself on the back and let it go!! good luck fellow non smoker :p

It is difficult to go out and drink when you have quit but it can be done as long as you dont drink to many and ask your friends to help you by not offering you one and refusing to give you one if you ask and if you do start thinking one wont hurt  then its time to go home

DONT feel ashamed. I did the same , not through drinking but something else.

I felt ashamed and embarrased and felt like a big fat failure and couldnt get back on with my quit straight away. However 4 weeks later Im back and raring to go. Dont let this littleblip put you off. It wasnt even a full ciggie, pck yourself up, dust yourself down and carry on with your quit.

Good Luck
