Damn! Day 6, pain and suffering :(

Day 6. I've got the most unbelievably awful indigestion/heart burn. Drove to the shop to get 2 litres of Gaviscon! I'm also unbelievably tired. I mean really kind-of feeling bloated, lethargic, tired, heart-burn, etc. Have been considering buying 2,000 Marlboro today, to help alleviate symptoms, but decided throat cancer might possibly feel worse than indigestion. Still, I can see how easy it would be to throw in the towel :p.

Hang on in there - the first week can be such a struggle at times but it is SOOOOO worth the effort. Keep reminding yourself of your reasons for quitting - and take things a day (or half day, or hour, or less...!) at a time.

Keep going. The heartburn does not last forever - it's just one symptom of your body putting itself right. :)

It's pretty easy actually. Days 1 - 3 are the worst physically, days 4 - 6 mentally. Thereafter, it's not so hard at all. Back at work yesterday - managed to function OK (lots of smoking triggers there, including some colleagues).

So worth it when you get the NHS iPhone app, or the one you can download for PC, that shows how much money you've saved. I'm £65 up already :p.
