Today is day 21 so tomorrow I can say I have not smoked for 3 weeks! Cool :)

But anyway I just cannot stop thinking, thinking, thinking about smoking....

I have many ocd's and now this is a new one on my list lol...

I long for the day I stop non stop thinking about smoking.... When will that be?

Hey Cazzzz - we will all get there if we stick at it. I think the honest answer is "ages". But join our October quitter group, it will maximise your chances.

f**K knows, we're in the same boat! (19 days quit for me)

But I don't think about smoking all the time...only when I'd have one. Which is everytime I get stressed at the mo. I'm not sure when that "I want a fag" thought goes away but I've read other peoples posts on here and maybe a couple of months????? Could you obsess about something else (hard I know)!

Well done on stopping smoking for 3 weeks a big achievement.

Hey

We're obviously going through exactly the same thing at the moment.

I'm on day 15, and it has been a hell of a day.

I've thought about smoking practically every minute of today - it really cannot be over quick enough for me!

Let's prop each other up shall we?

Same as.

On day 14 and constantly thinking of smoking!! I wouldnt swap this forum for the world but I do wonder if it contributes to the thinking as I am reading about smoking all the time. :) or do I come on here because I am thinking of smoking.

Wow same for me, day 14 and hearing constant nag about having just one smoke...

I will share with you all my secret weapon in getting rid of the obsessive little voice

quit.org.au/stories/default...

I spent almost a whole day on here once - helped turn the obsessive 'positive' thoughts about smoking to negative ones..

Amazing, i thought I would browse the link I put up and the nag is gone, feel normal again - reading matter is good to use anytime.

I agree Daggit the more you read the less you want one. I have saved your link to my favourites thank you for sharing.

you will all be surprised that by now you may think your craving/thinking of a ciggerette all the time but your not

its just that when you do it just seems stronger because there is a period of time when your not craving if you was to jot down the amount of times you craved a ciggy in a day and at what time and done that for afew days you willl notice a difference

also very soon and i mean very soon you will have long periods where you wont even think of a ciggy and then when you do you wilbe shocked about how long it was since the time before

im terrible for writing lists and doing graphs oh and putting reminders on my phone so if you fancy that idea make your own way up it will keep your hand and mind busy and you will be surprised with the results :D

oh i also put on daily reminders on my phone that im not smoking today going of every 15 or 20 mins just to give me an added reminder and then i would think well actually i hadnt thought of having a ciggy since that last reminder so i changed it to go of every 30 mins and yeah after a while the same thing happened so i just kept upping the time

 hope this isnt confusing anyone and that you get the general gist of what im saying

i will end this now
