Hey, my name is Anthony. I am 25 years old.. I am putting down the Newports tonight. I stopped drinking and drugging 4 months ago and want to be free of my nicotine addiction. In order for me to live my motto "Embrace each day" the ciggerettes have to go too. A little nervous about going to class tommorow night with no crutch but I will take this just like I treat my clean time, and take this addiction a day, hour, second at a time. I will check back and I will appreciate any help I can get!! Thank You!

Wow Anthony, well done on addressing all your addictions including nicotine. You've done an amazing thing for yourself. WHen you get through your class without a ciggie you can give yourself a huge pat on the back, as it's a big thing facing a trigger head on like that. You'll get through this, like you say bit by bit and this forum has helped me loads.

Good luck with Day 1.

Wow, respect to you Anthony!!!

They say things come in three's, you've kicked two of the worst habits/addictions known to man and now it's time for the third........something tells me you're strong enough to succeed :D

Hi Anthony

Good for you. You sound very motivated and prepared.

I've quit (for 29 days!) with the aid of Champix. I've never tried cold turkey.

Nicotine should be out of your body in 3 days...I'm sure it would help to learn all you can about this process.

(I've read fresh fruit juice for the 1st three days can help)

Take it day by day

I wish you loads of luck.

Lizzie

Well done Anthony. I gave up drinking 2 months ago and smoking one month. I have never felt better.

I wish you all the strength you need to do this.

Well done and keep writing.
