Hello All,

I can't believe that I have arrived at Month 4 :D:D:

Although I have to say that the last two weeks have been harder than the first two weeks of my quit.:confused

I feel constantly distracted , cannot settle to do anything and to top it all off have put on about a stone in weight

I will not go back to smoking but will someone PLEEEASE reassure me that this will get easier ??

:D well done you :D

it will get easier

dont forget the nicorette demon tries every trick to try and tempt you back the cravings will seem more intense every now and again but they will ease of just remember to distract yourself and count up how much money you have saved :)

and try not to worry too much about the weight you have gained

Hi Marj

I'm on the second major quit of my life (only day 27). The first time I was a non smoker for 3 years. Yes, I gained weight (stone & a half), but I substituted smoking for a couple of glasses of wine a night and didn't do any exercise!! This didn't help!

Also, I think as smokers we are artificially underweight.

If the weight is an issue to you, you WILL deal with it when the time is right.

Being distracted, I know that feeling, but it will go away. Do you really feel that its constant?

I try to imagine how non-smokers feel. Unless we've done some permanent brain damage I'm sure we can obtain their happy, relaxed and focused state.

Stay positive. You are doing so well.

Feeling positive..

Thanks for all the support, I feel more positive now :

1. I have saved almost £620 !!

2. NOT smoked about 1700 ciggarettes :D

3. Smell much sweeter (no more mints, washing hands and spraying of

perfume)!!

4. Our house now smells of fresh paint, not smelly stale smoke!!

5. Our walls will stay white and not yellow with the horrid smoke!!

6. I can walk and talk on my mobile without gasping for breath !!

7. I can lie in bed and not wheeze, cough and splutter !!

Off I go into Month 4 ........

Congratulations on your achievement Marj.

The quit stats are a fantastic idea. When I feel a bit low (apart from coming on here) I look at them to remind myself how far I've come..... :D
