I didn't post on here for Day 1 because I did Day 1 without too many problems. Stuffed my face and drank lots of water but fancied a ciggy. Nothing major. Shot of vodka and overcame it and went to sleep.
I've been awake for just an hour and a half and am screaming (literally) - I've gotta get through through the rest of my life without a ciggy? I can't imagine even making it through THIS day. I've not been up two hours and I am screaming...

Welcome to the forum. Pleased your first day went well but to more pressing matters!
We have all been where you are right now, time for you to dig deep. Make sure you read, there is a wealth if info a few clicks away, check out some of the other posters signatures. If you have a list of why you wanted to quit then keep referring to it. Drink water, keep busy and maybe do some exercise if you fancy it!!
i remember feeling like u [sceaming] i cried lots too
get through it wat ever it takes but dont smoke
i personally found walking and walking and walking for hours helped me and even to this day if i have a crisis where i would have normally smoked i still go straight out walking its like i reprogrammed myself to walk instead of smoke
keep busy find a new hobby so you can make new associations
and read read read understanding why i felt like i did helped me understand it and overcome it
and bit by bit it gets easier and easier honestly
never thought i would be where i am now if i can do it u sure can
Cold Turkey, by necessity. That being my main reason to quit. I cannot afford the ciggys anymore therefore I also can't afford the patches, gum, inhalers etc.
Main urge has gone away but I have an assignment due in this evening that I am gonna be dying for a fag throughout and at the end of.
How long is it before the main desire to smoke goes away? Days, weeks, months or years?
My sincere sympathies, that feeling just SUCKS. We've all been there. And it truly does get better the longer you go on with your quit.
Try and turn it into something positive. Throw all your hate and frustration at your addiction - how DARE some STUPID PLANT have the power to reduce you to this state. NEVER AGAIN will it have that kind of control over you!!!
Sip cold water, eat, go for walks, find something to do with your hands, breathe deep, put on loud music and dance. Whatever it takes to get you through the day. And then when you get through the day make sure you give yourself huge kudos for being so strong!
I have tried before and never gotten through two whole days before so if I can do that, I will be proud of myself and then I guess, just keep trying. See how many days I can get my record up to.
I'm currently in my trigger place - literally, I'm at my mates now. Drinking beer is my trigger. Not smoked yet but incredibly tempted. Doing my best not to...

hope it went ok pinky, im still avoiding smokers (that sounds a bit harsh but i still havent been to the pub yet) was over with some friends yesterday where there was another smoker so i distanced myself from him as much as possible without being too rude
