Not being snappy?

I attempted to stop smoking a few months ago, but I failed after 2 weeks so I'm trying it again. But this time instead of going Cold Turkey 100% I smoked only 3 cigarettes the first 2 weeks (instead of the usual 8 per day).

Anyways, I just now entered my third week (though is it really my third week if I smoked one cigarette 5 days ago?) and I'm starting to feel really agitated and snappy. Even though it's not my third week of being 100% without nicotine. Any advice / others who have experienced agitation from quitting? :0

yes!! well done, but don't smoke any more cigarettes! cutting down prolongs the agony, quitting altogether is the way to go. NOPE= not one puff ever!

sip lots of water, try you best to just not think of smoking, get some good exercise when you feel agitated or snappy its great for clearing your head of those thoughts. try and keep busy and get on with your life as if nothing has changed. well that is my thoughts, but we are all individuals!

keep strong, keep posting and reading!

yes, I think all quitters do!

Dont feel bad, I think we all do. Its part of quitting, I have never done herion but I think this may be as worse or worse! Your body "thinks" it needs nicotine like air, its the nicotine and other horrible chemicals trying to win you back. What I think alot of people believe is that the longer you smoke the longer the suffering and thats NOT true. I personally think all cravings for ALL will stop completly @ 9 months. BUT the longer youve smoked the harder quitting can be on your body. I hope that you make the right choice and stay clean. smokefree.gov just sent me free patchs for 2 weeks and a great book for quitting, they also provide coaches! Im going to try to return my niicoderm cq that cost me 45 dollars for 2weeks. The patchs make it way easier physically for me. I agree with 5mol<er - Continuing to smoke is just prolonging the torture, i have invested in a book called "How to stop smoking and stay stopped" by Gillian Riley, and it has become my no smoking bible, perhaps something to consider?

You can read reviews and buy it on Amazon.

Stay with your quit because it WILL! get easier with time!

I wish you all the best and send vibes of strength your way :)
