Haven't been around much online this week, and won't be for the next few days - it's all a bit manic at the moment - but just thought I'd drop by to let you know that I'm on Day 14 today and feeling good!
Not looking forward to the weekend though - my mum has dementia and had to move into a home recently. My sisters and I are spending the weekend going through the house, to get it ready to sell. It's going to be emotional and stressful, and both my sisters smoke!
Then I've got a job interview on Monday!
Oh well, if I can get through the next few days without succumbing, I can get through most things!
Hope all's well with all you other quitters out there!

I'm sorry about your Mum - my dad had dementia, so I do know where you're coming from.
It is going to be a stressful weekend, no doubt. But if you feel yourself getting ready to cave, just stop, go outside, take a few deep breaths and ask yourself... in what way would a fag make this any better? No matter how bad the crave is the answer can only be 'in no way at all!'. And hopefully removing yourself from the situation will allow your rational brain to get the upper hand over your inner junkie.
Good luck with it all. Take care. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way. And well done for two weeks - that's fantastic!
Don't weaken on the cigarettes. Smoking won;t help your Mother, and won;t actually help you either. let your sisters go and smoke and then sniff them - poooooo!! That should stop you wanting to smoke.
I hope it goes OK for you, it won't be easy, but you can do it. And know that we're all here rooting for you.
