Had a little relapse :-/

I had my mate round the other day and we had a few drinks but I ended up having a few puffs on a fag dose that make me a failure?

Awwww the dreaded drink and temptation. I dont think it makes you a failure especially as it was only a few puffs. But dont go back to being a fully fledged smoker. Maybe read so more again and get bacck that positive attitude to help you in being stronger when faced with temptation.

Shall I come round there and put you over my knee? Not for having a few puffs but for thinking you are a failure. No my dear you are not, you were doing very well and this should not knock you back. Put it behind you as if it never happened and continue with stopping smoking.

Btw It's great to hear you had a mate round but preferably stay away from the drink.

Not a failure, more of a blip. Well done for it only being a few puffs and stopping before it ruined your quit

I too had a little slip up. I was away on a course for 5 nights. I ended up smoking on the last two. I was three weeks stopped.

I had just enough cigs to put me back to where I was before I stopped. I then had to do the CT all over again and have been smoke free since. I really didn't want to do withdrawal twice in a month, but that's what "just the one" leads to. Tha or total relapse!

Well done for not having one the next morning. The one the night before is nothing - it's not having the one the next morning that is the tricky bit.
