Just a quick one to say I have reached the 3 month mark and it's been an interesting journey so far. I'm certainly not thinking of cigarettes quite so often but don't yet believe (or trust myself) that I won't smoke again so have decided to commit to a day at a time.
I love the fact my skin looks and feels better and that I'm not wheezing and out of breath after the slightest bit of exertion, and I will be joining my local gym (again) so I can get back into shape.
On the downside, I miss chatting outside with some of the 'smoking crew' and sometimes feel like I'm missing out but they all tell me how well I've done to stop so I can only assume they wish they could themselves.
Anyway, that's it from me for now. Good luck fellow quitters!

3 months, awesome! Well done MArilyn, so pleased for you and can't wait to get there myself - if that pesky Royaldecameron leaves me any space in the room that is!!
Also think your attitude is grand. I am terrified of complacency ruining my quit.
Keep on quitting and inspiring those of us running in your footsteps!

Hi Marilyn, first I have to say congrats on reaching three months absolutely well done, the next of the terrible threes' is three years.
You are correct to feel it's not completely over yet but you also must believe if you have come this far you can go much further.
Even a few weeks ago I thought about smoking but that was it I thought about it but I will never go through again what I went through to stop. So every time you even dream about having one remember, you are a nicotine addict and do you want to go through withdrawal again?
