Hi all, I'm on day 9 of my quit and I woke this morning to really sore gums and tongue. Has anyone else experienced this and has anyone any remedies? :(

Hi,

Its normal. My tongue was really sore for about a week and then it just got better. Your gums receed a bit when you stop smoking as they are no longer being covered in poison so the swelling goes down causing soreness. It will pass (as all parts of stopping) use mouth wash to help with the gums and book in with yur dentist for a good clean.

You amy also notice your teeth get a bit sensitive for a while until your gums settle down.
