hi to all,,just poped in to see how every thing is going with your quit..not far of 3 years since i quit..this is probley the best site to help you quit.some good advice i got on here,it can be done,,i smoked 60 plus a day..smoked from when i was about 6 or 7.just take it one hour or day at a time..its nice to see lots of new quitters on the site ,,u just keep the faith.i found that when i was having a bad day i would come on here ,for surport and it worked,,the site was there for me every time .so look to your friends on here and they will surport you ,,,so like i always say ,,keep the faith,and you wount go far wrong....TONYX

hi karri,,sorry i was so long in getting back to you.trouble logging on..some times i feel like a fag,but it soon goes,,it feels good not smoking.the best thing i find is ,when some one offers you a fag ,i say ,sorry i dont smoke,,that feels so good..the weed is just a memory now,,how you doing whit your quit ,,good i hope,,keep the faith tonyx

Huge congrats to you for still being smoke free. I agree, can't imagine someone that young smoking but of course it does happen.

hi never,i was born in dublin were we had to look after ourselfs,,most of the kids like me smoked no body seem to care,thing were a lot diffrent in the 50s,,but i have over come all that now.if i can do it so can you all,its mind over matter,wish you all the best with your quit keep the faith tonyx

hi karri..have been trying to get the wife to stiop smoking,like banging my head on a rrick wall..she likes a fag so who am i to try and stop her,would like her to stop ,,.one day you will wake up and you wount even think about smoking,and then you think wow i have done it ..karri that day will come for you one day and you will have a great big on your face ,just say i dont smoke,over and over ..keep the faith tonyx finding it hard to post any help

Thanks Tony for sharing your story with us. We all have our moans & groans about not being able to quit or finding it hard. Puts us or me at least in my place when someone who has had it much harder manages to do it so thank you.

Tony, Thanks for posting this....I’m going on three weeks and so determined to quit and reading your post is very encouraging.

I really don’t have cravings per say, but the problem I have is it just feels like something is missing and its more of a nuisance than anything.

I look forward to the day I can go all day without thinking of a cigarette.

hi linda also very nice to here from you to/like you said its so nice to be free from the weed..have you heard from any of the old gang. would be nice to have them back for one time,just to see how every one is getting on ,,all quitters, smoking can take over your life ,if you let it..remember a crave will pass.they only last a few mins,but its what you do in them few mins,,sometimes you cave in ,and after you feel bad:eek: by the time you have smoked that one fag ,that crave you had has gone,so you have smoked one fag and undone all the good things you started out to do,,as the song says ,,LETS START FROM THE VERY B bEGENNING and you dont want to do that do you,, so like i always say ,,you lot keep the faith,,tonyx

Hey Tony, it's good to see someone back on here to show what can be done and well done. I'm coming up to 16 months now I smoked all my life from 11 to 63 if we can do it so can others. You guys have to believe you can and you will. Like Tony says tell yourself you don't smoke, you don't want to smoke and you don't need to smoke. And when you think you have to have one think what you will have undone, what you will stink like but most of all you will feel you have let yourself down for the sake of hanging on a few mins.

Be determined, be strong and as Tony said one day you will stop thinking about them.

Yeh I still get the odd I want a fag feeling but it's gone in seconds. Now it is so easy to say no and believe me people who smoke envy you guys that stop.

hi jack 16 months, wow how good is that,jack and myself smoked all our lifes,,so i just goes to show if we why smoked all our lives,, im sure you lot can do it,keep saying it a crave will go weather you smoke or not,,.since i stoped my life has changed so much for the better ..fitter in all departments,,if you get my drift :rolleyes: as they say the older the fiddle the sweeter the tune dont give in ,,give it a good go ,,if you cave in ,just pick your self up and start all over again,as i say you lot kepp the faith tonyx
