hey guys... I have been having some very powerful smoking urges over the last few days... as the new years quitters know we are about to complete the third month... is anyone else having this?? they are not cravings, it's more of an urge... like something is missing and that would fill the void.

on a more positive note, I had two smokers in my garden this morning, but with the exception of an initial feeling of missing out, there was no urge whatsoever to smoke... infact they left some butts in my bin which stank to high heaven, they massively put me off.

hope you are all well. xxx

hey viki

yep, 3rd month has seen the urges come back. i can handle them but its strange how they suddenly re-appear. 3 months next thursday or friday isnt it? Now that is a milestone, the longest i have given up since i started smoking.

A definite time to celebrate

good luck!

Its kinda harsh how they come back out of no where. I knew of the terrible 3's but thought as I hadn't had a craving for ages (about 4-5 weeks) I wouldn't be effected. Then, bam, hit me like a golf club in the face. Full on needing/wanting to smoke. Good news is it (like all other stages of stopping) passes.

i'm at 5.5 months now so it must do :D

Stay strong, get through it, it does get better.

That's exactly what i was just saying to someone at work as i had that a week or so ago........ it really is an odd feeling.

Incidently, just been outside with a friend at work who smokes, i took my cuppa out to chat whilst he had his ciggie and his damn smoke kept wafting into my face, it was damn 'orrible and put me off me cuppa.

......but these things just reinforce the fact that i'm glad i gave up :D
