Hi everyone just joined this group hopefully for morale support. Been reading some of your quiting stories. I stopped smoking 13 days ago after smoking for 35 years on and off, mostly on. Just had enough of it. This is the longest i've gone in years without a ciggie. Read Allen Carrs book found it really helpful, he shows smoking as it really is no excuses. Still had cravings but they are getting less as the days go by. I am so enjoying the FREEDOM but find it strange to like something missing but I am so determined not to go back. Stopped on February 15 cold turkey.

Thankyou all for making me feel welcome. My first week was awful second week not to bad, feel as if i'm getting there slowly. The only thing I'm worried about at the moment is we are going on holiday to Portugal on Saturday, four of us 2 smokers my husband and my friend. my husband has been smoking outside. I don't think you can smoke inside in Portugal now (anybody know) so that will be a good thing, any tips will be so grateful.

Betty,

I have no idea, although I presume they will have to smoke outside. google the hotel; it should tell you if the rooms are smoking or non. It will no doubt be a bit of a challenge; what method are you using to quit?

You are doing wonderfully well; I could not manage CT and so admire those who do. If you have managed thus far on will alone, you can conquer the world Betty!

Oh thanks don't know about that, but just taking one day at a time. When I feel the urge I just say not now and just do something.
