Day 54 and the real hard work begins....

I have been craving a "fag" now for approximately 2 hours  what the heck is going on? The Nicodemons are on HIGH ALERT

The following has been going on a few days, but I didnt even think to mention until I read elsewhere that other people have had the same, and its only after they have quit smoking.

I have MAJOR acid reflux, and it HURTS. I actually felt like I was being stabbed in the bottom of my throat whilst eating this morning .. :/

The snoring has worsened, I actually 'feel' my throat collapse and then 'hear' myself snore when Im nodding off.

My ears are popping non stop and I am like an endless supply of wax, I would normally not link that to smoking/quitting it, but other people have experienced the same ... it's sooo annoying, I can be just sat watching TV and BANG, ear = popped = ouchy :(

My stomach is bad, I have IBS in mild form, and have had for a long time, but these pains and the erm ......*smells - ahem* can be foul. And it isnt a diet change.

What the heck is my body trying to do to me, it's supposed to be healing, not falling apart!!

Oh and the mucus has landed ... which I was hoping to escape, but it hasn't hit me with full force yet .. Thank GOD! - I dont think I could cope if it did :/

Sounds like some major healing is going on to me. Id guess the more extreme the symtoms the more healing is going on. If youre worried though you should go to the doctors.

The symtoms you described does sound likely though, for instance I know that smoking can really damage your hearing so some healing is likely going on there and that nicotine is a laxative as well so that department takes some time getting back to normal too. But speak to your doctor if youre worried.

Hey PK2011

I went through exactly the same as you with the mucus and heart burn. What i can strongly advise is go to docs like i did. I got tablets for heart burn and nasal spray for mucus and within a day i feel sooooo much better. No heartburn and i can actually breathe! Go to docs and you will be fine.

cheers

I'd agree with that ^^

No point in suffering with these symptoms when the majority of them can easily be dealt with. It may be to do with quitting, it may not, but either way it's best to see your GP and treat what's treatable.

Feel better soon xxx
