Why would day 7 be more challenging then days 1,2,3,4,5 and 6? Didn't see this coming. I'm not going to give in just wasn't expecting it.
1 quick question: Why would day 7 be more... - No Smoking Day
1 quick question
Good question.....
don't know... my day 4 and 5 were awful, same as 11 and 12!
Glad you're not giving in tho, just curious
For me it was because by the day day 7 rolled around, the novelty of quitting was wearing off and instead i was starting to learn how to live without smoking.
Well Done!!
Day 38 is a monster...
Take it easy
Sparky, You like me and all other smokers are drug addicts and no one ever said that giving up is easy, and we can only support one and other, so hang in there as it does get easier , so keep writing and reading in this site as it is a great help.

Dannyboy55 - A drug addict? nice - I wish it was to a drug that at least made you feel good. Wait a minute - that give me a idea, How about switch one bad habit for another? just kidding of coarse
austinlegro "Day 38 is a monster" sorry to hear that and thanks for the heads up. I will put it on my watch list
Claire30 - "the novelty of quitting was wearing off" Bingo-I think that is the reason
SLB - I have added 11 and 12 to the watch list as well
johnj6922 "Good question" - I know
Gah, I don't know. I had bad days at around 12-15, and humdingers around day 30-35. I think the fact is the first few weeks are going to be a rollercoaster. Some days you feel great about yourself and all supportive and 'yeah, I've made it', and then some days you feel ghastly and miserable and would willingly knock down an old lady to get to a lit cigarette.
Yeah... so anyway, it's a rollercoaster. Strap yourself in, grit your teeth, and let the experience wash over you!

Maybe Day 7 seems to be a bit of a bummer because you realise that, hey I havent smoked for one whole week and therefore you think eeeeek give us a fag.
We all have stages of the quit where we feel abit jittery, dont worry it passes I promise and eventually you get to a stage where you dont think about it, it becomes as normal as smoking was.
Good luck to you all and I am sure that in a few more days you will feel much better.
Sounds like something to behold Helsbelles. The last time I quit I was taking Chantix so days would pass and I didn't even know that I got out of bed
"would willingly knock down an old lady" - You never know but it might get to that point. First time for everything I guess
Sometimes what we percieve to be the worst time turns out not to be a problem, hope you have a great journey and enjoy your hols or if its work then dont do too much, smoking doesnt make us feel any better we just think iot does.
