well it will probably feel like you are for a day or two! which is ironic because giving up smoking is likely to be the single sanest decision we will ever make!
yes, thinking about cigarettes all the time, i still do that!! but that is one of the big reasons for quitting, slowly but surely you will spend less and less time thinking about cigarettes, until one day you will wake up and won't, and that day you will be free.
And, I think, a good decision to wave bye bye to the nicotene while you're feeling strong. Then you know it's out of your system and you can concentrate on permanently altering your mindset.
I still think about smoking a lot, but not in that constant, obsessive, yearning way I did before. And I still have the odd crave, but they are easily dealt with. I promise you, the path gets smoother and smoother the further you travel.
Just keep on with the reading, keep reminding yourself why this is the best thing you could possibly be doing. Stay strong, and good luck!!
Thank you both for that, came just at the right time. Lack of patches has been hard as the day has gone on, thought about going to the shop more than several times. In the end turned radio up loud and did some ridiculous singing dancing and jumping, seemed to do the trick - better than killing someone lol
