OK, so a couple of hours into the day but better late than never.
A bit of background, I gave up last year for 5 months but unfortunately relapsed following a bereavement. Now the grief process is less raw its time for me to give it a go again.
So any tips for me, I've got my inhalator at the ready for bad moments and filled the rest of the day so I won't be so busy.
TIA

Best tip for stopping is read read and then read some more. It is something that most people on this site will tell you as it really works. Look at the links in people signatures, I personally found 'the tales' to be excellent but there are other sites as well.
Take it one step at a time. Remember that a craving will always go, whether you smoke or not, so you may as well not smoke and just let it go on its own
Most of all read on here, post often and stay strong
I can't really say more than Sian has above apart from, if you need help we're all here for you, if you need to rant, rave or just witter in general feel free because there will always be at least one person who knows what you are gonig through on any given day
I'm sure theres going to be a lot of ranting and raving to be had over the next few days and the links in the siggies are going to provide me for some motivation when I feel a bit low.
If I can do it for 5 months I can go smoke free forever.
Unfortunately I think what set me off again was losing someone made me crave something that would always be a constant. Funny thing is fags don't actually stress relieve me, just think they do until I light one and think was it really worth it.

Nicotine is a stimulant so it doesn't relieve stress it makes it worse can't remember where but I read something really good about this. |Will try to remember and post a link
Good luck buddy!! It's my first day too!! reading is a good tip.
did the same as you, quit last year then started again after some bad news, but only for 9 days, so not 5 months, respect to that! if you can do it once you can do it again!!!
