Hiya Nic
Well done on 6 weeks
And on the getting drunk front, I'd say just go for it. Worked for me
Honestly, yes it is a bit harder when you're out with your mates and they're smoking and you're not. But just think to yourself, they're slowly killing themselves, and you're not anymore. Also you don't have to go and stand outside and freeze your arse off, as they feel compelled to do. You can just stay in the pub in the warm, with your nice cold drink.
God, just realised I sounded like an alcoholic then....oh well, have swapped one addiction for another...................off to the fridge for another beer
I was out on Saturday night and needless to say I got quite tipsy well I just couldn't have been bothered to smoke, I just didn't want to go out in the cold, the craic was so much better inside anyway, everyone finds diff things hard. I find just going to the shop the hardest trigger.
As for drinking, I would say go for it. If you are tempted then just make sure you stay inside when others go out. I think you will be fine, when I first had a drink I was worried but found that I didn't even think about it.
