Good morning Terri

Well done on the quit. You should sign the roll call for us Oct 2010 quitters. :)

I am glad your reaping some benefits of stopping smoking. I have joined a gym, watching what i eat as i would love to shift some flab but i think so far its just burning fat and the scales arn't moving which is good i know but i would love for the scales to show something lost rather than the tape measure informing me. Today we went for an early swim and i feel so much better for it. I can swim and not get out of breath now.

Glad to hear about your new business venture, hope thats going along nicely.

I dont get any cravings now, nothing at all and not even the odd thoughts about the old ways, strange because i thought i would have had them longer but i have transitioned over now to being a non smoker and can honestly say i wont be going back. I think everyone is different in how long the thoughts stay with us.

Anyhow, lovelly to hear your doing ok. Take care my friend

Your doing well

Well done Teri just keep up the positive attitude to not smoking and if you have any doubt as to why you at 60 and me at 56 want to stop smoking , there is plenty of web sites that can show us the results of many years of smoking, and if you are like me you want to try and be healty as we enter our "older age". But well done teri and keep posting and talking on this site. I am now 14 months stopped and I beleive that I would not have been able to do this without the help and support of the other members of this forum who listened to my moans as I went through the quit.
