Hi my name is .Marty. I have been smoking for 30 years 2 packs a day this is very hard to stop smoking its been 4 days now. I am some times crazy. On and off but it only been 4 days. I relly enjoy smoking I do I relly do. And the think is I like it so much. I am afraid I won't and not he able to stop. So check thisout.4 days now. And I did not what to stop. And I have stop. I hope I don't get fat. If I get I well start smoking. I would rather. Smoke. Then be a fat pig. So I well do my best. Not to smoke. Or get fat I love smoking and do not what to quit. I am being very hotist. About this. I think my honest out look on this might be the key to me stomping smoking PS NO PACH. NO SMALL PUFFS ON A SMOKING. JUST RELLY. COLD COLD .TURKEY and. It's sucks. One day this well pass. If I just don't light one up.

Marty well done on getting to day 4. I never really wanted to give up and when I did it was not through choosing to It was because I became so very ill with a chest infection to the point I could hardly breath.

I never want to go through that again and now I am 12 weeks smoke free and also done cold turkey.

The best advice I can give you is to read as much as you can about what happens when you quit and how your life will improve.

Wishing you lots of luck and as for the putting weight on....Yeah I have done that but whats a few extra pounds around your tummy (Which you can and will lose) I would rather be a bit heavier than a smoker anyday its just my next project to work on now I am happier and healthier :)

I read somewhere you'd have to put on over 75 pounds to equal the damage caused by only ONE packet of cigarettes - so even though none of us want to put on too much weight, you have to look at the bigger picture. Giving up smoking is MUCH more important. You can always lose weight - it's a lot harder to undo the problems caused by cigarettes.

Well done on reaching day 4, you're doing a great job!

Helen
