Started out rough. Got that funky, need a smoke taste in my mouth and the craving was unreal. I literally brushed my teeth for 10 minutes trying to get over it. Didn't work, jumped in the shower and focused on getting a bite to eat.
I took my patch off before bed last night think i'll leave it on tonight. Patch helped things tremendously when I had it on. Snacked on the sunflower seeds on the drive to work, no real cravings since.
Got about an hour and half before I can go to bed, due to cooking some pulled pork in the crockpot but feel fine. I'll chalk it up as a victory.

I've quit using the patches before - the 24hr ones are designed to be on all day primarily (I think) to help with the morning crave. If you can wear them all night without having any symptoms (nightmares are quite common) keep them on for the whole 24hrs.
However, I have to say that weird dreams seem to be a common feature whatever you do.
Keep going and keep busy. You didn't smoke today - that IS a victory!
Good Afternoon and welcome to the forum, you couldn’t have chosen a better place to get support and advice on quitting smoking, without the help from some members I am sure that there would be many of us saying we would not have managed to stay quit for so long, you have the right mental attitude to stay quit and I see that as being half the battle, you keep focused on the reasons why you have chosen to stop smoking and I am sure that you will be singing your own praises this time next year, trust me the time flies by once you except the fact that you will never put a cig to your mouth again.
Keep yourself busy when the cravings come along. Go for a walk, take a shower, bake some cookies.... what ever it takes to take your mind of wanting a smoke and before you know it the craving will have passed.

Hello and Welcome to the forum
Congratulations on starting your quit
Just a few little tips i have for you as a fellow user of patches....
Do take you patch off before bed, we have to give our bodies a break in the patches and so where we wouldn't normally be smoking when we are asleep, this is the best time to have this break.
Also leaving the patches on of a night can cause sleep disturbance as i found out a few years ago when i first tried patches and had the most horrific dreams
I found the best way to use the patch was to set your alarm about an hour before your actual get up time.. So if you get up at 7am, set your alarm for 6am, reach over and slap on the patch and go back to sleep for that other hour. That way the patch is already working before you get up and you will find the cravings are much less severe
Hope this has helped you a bit, if you have any questions feel free to post and ask, there is always some one about , also have a look at peoples signatures as they have links to other useful tips.

Welcome here. I'm glad you survived the second day and was much smoother than mine. Anyway I found the patches a bit sickly so I had to find another method to get the cravings away. Stay focused and don't give up. I didn't and I feel like a whole new person. Good luck to you my friend.
