Im a lurka from time to time . 66 days since my last cig .I packed in cause i was having a op which has been done, but decided not to start smoking again .I get good days when i dont even think of a cig ,and then it just appears ,a big fat crave but it soon passes . So im always aware and alert and take one day at a time ,and that has worked for me so far im pleased to say. Thankyou for all your help with your posts .

Hi Jans
Glad to hear that your now on day 70, wow thats great and also for NOT GIVING IN to that Nasty little Nicodemon that tried to let himself in yesterday, well done you, keep it up.
Thankyou for all your kind words .I still take it one day at a time . some days i dont even think of a cig. Stress is my bug bear ,then the big fat crave really comes .
I have a friend who packed in 20 yrs ago .She told me even now when she is in the supermarket she looks at the cigs and thinks go on buy a pack ,just for that split second .ALWAYS KEEP ON TOP OF IT .Never get flat footed so to speak . xxxx
Just to let you know im still quite :D103 days. But i never get complacent EVER. I started smoking at 14 yrs old Im now 53 yrs old :mad:lol .If you really want to do it you will . But i still always say iv not smoked for today .xxxx
112 days quit . Had my first dream of me smoking last night , and when i woke up for a couple of seconds i really wished i did have a cig in my hand . Then it just passed . Thought id share that , very strange feeling .
There's a reason the phrase 'old habits die hard' exists.
Whether you consciously banish these things to the dark recesses of your mind or not we still find they pop up to say hello even in smokers that quit many years ago.
The further down the path we go the more amusing they seem in some ways. Smoking memories can't really be any different from childhood memories at the end of the day.
If it helps to smoke just in your dreams it's certainly cost-effective!
