7 is my lucky number so no more upsy daisy's and lets stay quit so we can stay looking gorgeous ha ha!!
Oh dear you both sound more than a little down, poor you, I so sympathise I too felt this way at your stage. I seem to remember feeling cheated that at 7 months I should have left all nicotine thoughts behind me. Sorry, but it really does seem to vary person to person, in my quit group which was a very strong and committed one , (Octoquits) , we have those that managed to quit easily, those who climbed the walls and back and then did it again (me included) , and those that just got on with the quit and seemed to be able to live with it however hard.
I have now quit for over 10 months and some weeks (hey how about that not a day but a week) I never think about it and then I have a week when I really cannot think about anything else. These times I miss it madly are beacuse I am either worried or stressed. I have actually been monitoring these feelings, and its the old times when I always had a fag and now have to learn how to still deal with those times without one. A bag of crisps, (yes I know about the weight thing) polos, toothpaste I dont care what you find, use your inhilator if you need to even if its 10 months later, but please dont smoke.
A friend of mine who gave up 18months ago has recently strated again due to her marriage splitting up, she now hates herself even more and admits it made her throw up and feel really rotten. So now she has a split marriage and a broken vow, I know she feels rotten so dont do it please.
Thanks for your message, not quite sure why we sound down though!! I thought we were sounding quite perky!!
In fact I am smiling from the minute I wake till I hit the sack!! Sure KK is the same!
Yes all quits are different & I have personally come to the conclusion that nicotine never fully leaves you, we will be in a state of having our guards up forever! But being honest about your feelings and being open with others is important...........there will always be someone who feels the same as you!
Personally, having gone 6 months without a drag and cold turkey, I dont have to look for things to replace the cravings..........but re-training the mind is a much longer process and you are right..............varies from person to person!
I have felt a lot better about quitting since taking the pressure off myself and relaxing a little...........I dont know whats around the corner.............but today and hopefully tomorrow, I wont smoke
Bit clueless of why we seem down too  thanks for the post anyhows..Im doing okay atm, i will always want to smoke but i am learning ....ive not got a inhalator never owned one....mmm a tempting thought though & i wasnt planning to smoke either:confused: ..well i hope not anyhows..learnt that lesson lately
Brilliant on your 10months anyhows, a good strong quit group you seem to be part of that must be ace
I have missed a lot of goings on, but I just wanted to say congratulations to you for reaching 7 months, you should be extremely chuffed with yourself!
