Hi Stuey,

I'm just one day ahead of you so you are snapping at my heels.

I used patches for 2.5 days as found I was having really terrible mood swings on them. Since I've stopped putting them on I feel so much better.

Keep in there!!

yeah the patches are wierd - i think they just made me feel worse... I am feeling much better today and have barely thought about it and have found a new habit to replace smoking. I am now eating lots more which for most people wouldn't be that good but i have an overactive thyroid and only weigh 9st 12lbs and im 6 ft 1inch tall so could do with some extra weight :D

getting that first week done is such a good feeling-you are so near that first milestone now:D:D

good luck and I agree reading others experiences is invaluable. When I get that want one feeling I come on here instead .x

Hi Stuey, well done on not using the patches and going CT as you said you feel good and will continue to improve daily, its not easy we know but its so good for you that you want regret it.

Keep the fluid intake up as that can make a big difference to how you feel, when we smoke we tend to drink more and when we quit we cut down as we see drinking as a trigger so we dehydrate quite quickly and then feel Sh** so lots of iced water sipped and when you crave as well take care xx

Well im on to day 6 today and still holding out - feels so good to finally have some control rather than little white sticks holding me to ransom....

I even went to the pub last night to have a pint and fight the urge to go and have a smoke, most of my friends smoke and i even managed to stand with them while they had one and avoided temptation :D

Flipping heck Stuey - that's some willpower you have there.

As you are such a skinny minny and a tall one at that I am trying to send some of weight over to you!!! I'm 5ft5 and weigh 11.5 stone (although I carry weight quite well so am only size 12/14).

I start at the gym on Friday and then I'm going to have a toned torso that would make celebs jealous!!!!

Keep going and see you in week 2 soon.:D
