Day 4 dawns

Man, I cant believe how good I am feeling. Out of bed at five thirty, at work at six thirty! Normally only get to work at nine. I want to know if this is normal: My brain feels at least 20 IQ points brighter? Like waking up from a long slumber. Hope we all have a successful no smoking day. Cheers!

Hi Peter nice to meet you :)

Well done on your quit! Day 4 for me also! Feeling good and positive too and was out of bed myself just after 6 this morning. In fact this weekend I am going to paint our bedroom, I just want to freshen it up give it a boost of colour. I bought some B-50 vitamins yesterday too and I dont know if they can be effective that quickly, but I feel full of energy! (teeth brighter already too which is so important to me, i hate nicotine stained teeth!) x

Hi Trying

Thanks for the reply. I feel bad feeling so good now and posting it, I know that in a short while this euphoria will wear off and I'll have panic attacks. Thats when it's going to be good to have yours and everyone else's support.

Tooth thing is a big thing, I'll have to wait longer for the sparkling results considering how long and how much I smoked.:)

Hi,

Dont feel bad, its brilliant. And dont sit and wait for any sort of panic attacks to arrive, they might not, and if they do....pfffffffft to them (as a friend always says hehe). Think about it, what is there to panic about? Its only the Nicodemon freaking out because he cant have a fix and you are getting stronger by the day. Well done tho we all know quitting is not easy and when you do feel low, confused, irritated etc pop on here, it really does help x

dead chuffed you are feeling so good:):)

I did too-am only coming up to 4th week now -and have had a few days where I could have swapped my soul for a cig. but it passed and the main thing for me was coming on here and logging on instead of lighting up. asked for help and help came.

I still get that feeling of sheer joy you describe -and you will too.

we all on here have just decided to make the most valuable of choices-and I think this feeling comes from the sheer relief that we are actively quitting[or we wouldnt be on forum basically]

good luck my friend -and when those craves come remember the happiness you had today and hold it close.

what a rollercoaster eh?:confused:: xx

Hi Peter i am also glad you are feeling so chipper, I think the weather helps as well as it keeps you focused and smokey smells go and you feel good about yourself.

This forum as everyone says is brilliant for keeping your quit strong as well, always come on and rant if you need to and shout if you feel good, dont think that we want wont to here you because we will good or bad.

I hope your quit carries on being so good there is no reason why it shouldnt, take care and keep smoke free x
