well done wendy ann ..your doing brilliant 3 months...I have to agree no one will understand unless theyve done it...
Well here we are doing something that effects the rest of out life..Hopefully one day we will turn to someone & say you know it was hard but so worth it..........Keep fighting
3 Months and counting and before you know it you will be 4 months.
I never saw myself getting past a couple of weeks so I didnt join till I actually realised I was going to stop smoking permanantly which is still a bit of a shock.
I am glad you feel good about your quit I know it doesnt make it any easier but at least you know you want smoke again, and as it is so hard we know we have to support each other all the way and further, I sometimes find myself stopping and thinking oh my god I dont smoke any more and I have to smile especially when I think of me as a smoker what about you does it feel strange sometimes.
I am never sure what to put when some one is doing well as I am so used to posting support posts LOL enjoy your quit as it will be your last and you need to remember it as you dont want to ever think you can or would want to do it again xx
Thanks for the replies everyone, they are really really appreciated.
I do feel really proud of myself.
I wish I could just stop "fancying" a cigarette.
I also wish I could stop eating. I am going to have to try and lose a few pounds now, start exercising a bit more. I have had my hands full with my grandchildren the past week.
I don't seem to have had so many thoughts of smoking today.
Kitty kat I know sweetheart she has just said the 9 letter word but its ok get the brown paper bag out, thats it big breaths there you are its passed you can stand up now, now dont cry the nasty word has gone.
Ok folks all the excitements over now, now wendyann dont say it again please as kitty kat gets distressed ok xx :D:D
Well done Wendy Ann ...........i can remember my 3 month mile stone as if it was yesterday ...and like you I was still "fancying a fag " , but was over the cravings as I am sure you are.
Just keep on dismissing the thoughts and they will disappear in time and as you seem determined to stay quit I am sure that you will .
I went to my daughters house yesterday for a bbq. There were 3 friends there that were smoking. I am so proud to day I was actually quite ok with being around them whilst they smoked.. They were really pleased to hear I had stopped smoking and wanted to know what method I used. I'm hoping I might have "turned a corner".
congratulations -and you must feel so proud of yourself. I hope you have a real nice treat for yourself mind [not family !!] this weekend.
counting on my fingers what 9 letter word refers to in previous post.
struggling-this must be a new puzzle for us newbies
It isnt -surely not -no-no !! Exercise ?
woops only 8 letters.
best go back to bed. xx
Hi wendy Ann glad you felt good being around smokers, we are only novices at the moment so of course we get the odd moment were we fancy one but we will get better and to except the fact that we dont want to smoke any more is the most important situation to reach.
And I am not going to mention the 9 letter word because of Kitty Kat but add an S to the word above
