Day 5 for me

I am so happy.

I have tried quitting before, but I started useing the lowest strengh patches  and it did not work and I ended up smokeing again.

But now I am on the 21mg 24 hr patch and I feel fine, im not cranky or irritated or anything :D

The worse thing though is when I cough and it brings up some nasty stuff!, then again my body is trying to clear its self :D

Ive got 3 weeks worth of my GP but when the 3 weeks are up do I lower the dosage ?

Hi there,

Welcome & well done on your quit :)

I used patches as well & found it so much easier than CT. Not brave enough for that this time! Depending which patches you are using you usually do either 4 or 6 weeks on the first strength before dropping down. I would say from a personal point of view to be wary of dropping down or stopping too soon. Many have done that, including me and ended up smoking again. Some people of course have stopped using the patches early & been fine.

You are doing brilliantly, keep it up ;)
