Yes Deano I have got a sollution either dont go out with a crowd that smokes for a few weeks or dont go out side with them when they go for a cig.

If you have stopped like me for nearly four months you are letting no one down but your self, if you want to be a smoker then fine but you say you dont want to be well theres your answer, dont smoke its now that you are back to what you think is social smoking but another couple of weeks and it will be full time time again and then you will stop coming on here because you will be a fraud and then it will be to late cause you will think what the heck I will stop later, its your choice we cannot make you be a none smoker we can just support you if you want us too good luck and a hug to see you through xx

You just have to understand that whether you are smoking one or two when out for the night or one every now n again.. you are still a smoker, and those occasional few smokes have the potential to make you smoke as much as you ever used to, and more. Worse yet, if you continue to smoke occasionally like this you will also be going through almost constant state of withdrawal and that is not how you want your life to be.

Once you come off patches you must stay off nicotine, but if you've re-introduced cigarettes back in then you've sought a supply of nicotine as a replacement for what you used to have before. whether it was patches or when you used to smoke.

I've never used nicotine gum but I did once try lozenges but didn't favour them at all as they made my mouth burn.. so didn't like them at all. An inhilator might work better for you? emergency only kind of thing, but for now, recognise what you are waking up again by these occasional 'going out' smokes.. because they are what will wake up the whole addiction you were trying to get away from.. so you must cut that out now and really get back to the game plan of quitting which is why you are here.

Well done for recognising the problem, now you need to sort it before it spirals out of control and addiction will make it do that if you don't nip it in the bud.

Hey deano xx just from previous quits I know your upset.....on a quit i did just exactly that smoked on a night out thinking i could be okay with it.until it turned into day times just a few & so on until before i knew it I was smoking again... xx nicotine gum mite be useful for you just for nights out ....Im not a big fan of that stuff just my own personal use of it....but it does work & you wont want to smoke wen uve had one.....or the spray maybe? dont know much about that but its worth a go if it stops you from smoking xx

Dont give up going out & having good times...You can do this ....Youve already done a big length of time....xx ure doing so well....Well done you xx:)

I've done the slippage too in the past! Not One Puff must be your motto! I didn't cut out my so******ing but I did cut down on the booze. Im now back up to full intake again and there isnt an issue! Just take it one step at a time and dont be lured back into it!

Thats good that you have decided no more cigs as you know we can only try and persuade you and you have to be the one to stop, sorry if I was a bit harsh with you but its not because I dont care as I said I really feel it when someone gets that far and then some one gives them a cig its because they think they are clever tempting you but to me they are not the best of mates because they know you are vunerable, and they are jealous I think so good for you dont be tempted by them its there loss not yours that they smoke, brag to them how much money you are saving and what you will be able to buy with the money LOL xx

Not what you're looking for?
