I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to my 6 months smoke free life as of today.
It really is everyone from a newbie struggling on day 1 (as this helped me to remember how hard it was and how far I've come) to all those inspiring souls who are wallowing in the penthouse (because that's where I want to be)
Still have the odd bad day but I think I've got the depression under control now (thanks to St Johns Wort) and am enjoying feeling pretty fit for a 45 year old mum of two. Still need to lose a few pounds though but once thats done I will be pretty pleased with myself.
So thank you all very much for the help and wisdom in getting me to this milestone of 6 months. I can't quite believe it. And to all those newbies, remember to use this forum's combined wisdom as part of your armoury to get you smoke free too. I wish you all the best. I couldnt have done it without you!!

Half a year now in the bag, and its good to read you have pretty much whipped the depression into shape.. i went through similar myself and its not pleasant in the slightest.
Hopefully with the sunnier weather (apparently) coming we may see some better months ahead. (if you pardon this week where some areas are getting some snow? today?) I always think the sunshine improves our moods somewhat .. (unless you hate sunshine that is?)
So here's to you and indeed 6 whole months now done. I'm sure you will find the next 6 months easier than the first 6.. i have certainly seen a difference in just 2 months myself, so i hope the same for you.
