David Hi and your doing great, 4 days and still feel happy. I think you have chosen the best way and probably the quickest as now you are nicotine free, I also chose this way but I will say that if you do start to struggle it would be better to get some NRT than to slip so keep posting and reading and we will all be here to support you xx
Hi
It took me until day 7 of cold turkey to feel better. Keep posting on here and make sure you read the signitures. This forum has helped me so much.
hey dood! wow thats a fair few fags lol. least you have reached the first step of stopping, noticeing that smoking is a problem! when i wasi n my first week i found going for long walks on my own were good to take my mind of the quitting! u should try it
My son helps me going on, his only 7 months old, but when I see him I'm thinking that we should enjoy life as much as possible. My wife quited cold turkey right in the next moment we had found out that si was preganant. She's clean from then , she didn't did a puff. Well then I promised to her that when she will give birth I will quit, but was very dificult for me to quit at that time, was mid summer, lot's of stress. But now i've decided that this should stop right now, no more postpones, this is it! So Day 5 and still calm.
My father quited smoking 16 years ago, he's 55 y.o. now, he was smoking 3-4 non-filtered Gouloise. It will remain only my father in law the only smoker in the family.
Thanks everyone for your support!!
Congratulations David! In my experience the first 3 days are the worst. If you can manage them you should be able to deal with anything the rest of your quit chucks at you.
