Hey Tom,
I'm a cold turkey too, on Day 45, so I can understand exactly what you're talking about. I've passed through the rage phase now and it will stop, promise. It's easy to blame anger on stopping smoking, but the truth is non smokers get bloody annoyed too. This link from Why Quit is really helpful, it explains why we get a serious mood on. Shocking really that your head has been taken hostage by nicotine for so long and is working out to function properly. You will be a normal person soon!
I'm still being a bit of a sh1t to be arround mate, to be honest. I'm at 6 and a bit weeks now, cold turkey. I'm getting better though. I need to walk away and get a cup of tea (have you tried peppermint tea or fruit tea by the way? It tastes like cr@p but it gives you something to do!). By the time I get back to my desk, I'm usually calm.
Previously I would have walked away, had a fag and come back calm. No difference really. You've just got to metaphorically "count to ten".
That link from Polster pretty much nails it. It's neurochemical, like pretty much all your withdrawal symptoms. It does get better...nobody has asked me to work from home in a couple of weeks...but you still have to deal with life's annoyances in a different way.
Did I mention you can throw the tea at someone if you don't drink it?!
well done 30 days you quit same day as me i know how you are feeling i'm having a strange day today all i can think about is smoking i'm even sat watching people through the window but i'm not sure they are looking any happier than i am well i know they are not cos they are outside in the cold while i not you just keep doing what you have been and i'm sure we will be soon into month two
i feel alot better today! ive noticed if i try n dodge stressful situations it makes the day easier!
LOL ive been told on days im worse then a hormonal women, up one minuite and down then next, craving sugar the next !!! no offenece but this really blows. !

Speaking as a woman, who got a tad hormonal around Day 20 of stopping smoking - I can say with confidence you'd have been hard pushed to be any worse. I scared the cr*p out of myself. Ha ha ha .... scary, it was off the ricter scale.
The only upside to this anger lark is you do tend to say what you mean in situations you wouldn't normally. Try and see the fun side
