Hi, I just want to say thanks for the messages regarding my sisters death and the fact that you all respected my wishes of no sympathy.
I thought it would be right to follow up and let you all know when the funeral is. It is on Friday the 19th and I will with my son Brendon be travelling down to Accrington on Thursday and staying overnight, attending the funeral on Friday.
I also wanted you to know Julia has left behind 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren at 69 years of age. Isn't that some achievement and all we can manage is to stop smoking ha ha. Again people please no sympathy, I'm doing great and will have quit 11 weeks tomorrow and still strong.
I will not be around Thursday or Friday.
Respect and best wishes to you all
Jack.

Amongst the sadness and farewell make sure there are laughs a plenty and tales and memories fondly recounted, especially with the younger members of your sisters family

I have just jumped on here to say thanks to you all. On this forum it's not just support to stop smoking and all is greatly appreciated.
Don't worry about me smoking I am 11 weeks today and I am not going to give that up. Sometimes it's hard but it can be controlled and I love knowing I don't smoke. I found my self thinking about them things today while driving and then I thought to my self "Why? they are not part of my life anymore". And to all you guys please keep it up at least untill I get back On here Saturday.
If you see a young man on here with the name Jordan please give him a special welcome he is one of my pupils. I think he's on day 6.

Blimey Jack, that's one hell of a family! I moan about my Christmas card list. I hope today was a great celebration of your sisters life - to me that's what days like this should be for.
561 mile round trip and back safely. The funeral aside we had a wonderful time meeting family I have not seen for many years. Have to go out just now but will give you more details later.
