Well day 23 out the way, 24 just started. I've just got back from the village shop, my first visit since stopping (they thought I'd died!). Not because I've been steering clear...just not had a reason to go! Strange as it used to be a daily event.
Now settling down for the evening, Lasagne on the go and beers getting colder in the fridge.
Is it me or are the evenings getting a little brighter?
PS you can't post a message without a subject..the above is the error it gives you if you try. I couldn't think of anything better as a title.

Hi, sounds like you have a really great evening planned. My eldest has a friend here for a sleep over so there are now 4 girls under 10 in my house  We are Leeds Utd fans in this house so we are recording the football as we speak and then we are going to watch it with a take away and a bottle of wine (or 2) later.
And yes the evenings are getting brighter, makes you feel good doesn't it.
I've spent the day sending and responding to emails from the States as (fingers crossed) a Master Guitar maker is going to build me a guitar. Now I'm sat here looking at Amps. March could be an expensive month!
Wow, what a great treat to have a custom guitar  What wood?
I love listening to music and guitar/drums/just any and most instrument actually .... noted some posts back that you enjoy some Joe Bonamassa too.
Your heading pretty strongly to your first month some free - excellent
OH is making Rogan Fish curry tonight (had it few times at festivals and now it's from a Rick Stein book) - weekends he likes to cook and doesn't most things taste better when they are made by someone else? (providing they can cook).
Enjoy your lasagna and your evening (and spending your cash for ash money)
Yes, lighter evenings are a happening thank goodness

Hey Pol,
HAPPY SATURDAY!
Lasagne was lovely...not as good as my own but lovely all the same. I'm the cook of the house for main meals, Mrs N. is the cake maker. Rogon Josh sounds lovely...can't go wrong with some Rick either. Eaten at all his eateries now I think, the Fish Restaurant is fantastic.
I'll be on roasting duty tomorrow; have a free range corn fed chicken, spuds and plenty of goose fat. Thinks should be good!
I want a really nice deep bluesy guitar so am going for a typical Gibson Les Paul setup. So far the plan is a mahogany body and neck with a birds eye maple front on it and ebony fretboard. The wood will be left natural. Still chatting with the Luthier about how it's all going to look. I'm so excited!
I love Joe Bonamassa and if all goes to plan I hope to go see him in Birmingham sometime in March. I've developed a deap love for blues music; mostly the old stuff Son House, Blind Willie Johnson and Howlin' Wolf.

...still waiting for Lasagne
Ha says he and the other 3 can't play then gets a guitar specially made from the States. It must be electric cos they are looking at amps. I thinks we may need to show everyone you and the other three.

Happy Saturady? - mmmmmm Jealous Saturday
I keep missing the opportunity to see him localish. I went to a particular festival last year and found out he'd played the year before  which is the year I suggested going but wasn't listened to  I listen to Plant Rock a lot and the quiz (abut JM) they had the other day was so easy but I forget to take part - not my luck to win quizzes anyway.
The woods and mix of color and where sound great. Wow, best thing yet I've heard a quit bring about.

Note the guitar on the wall that they can't play:rolleyes:
Jack
Ha! My good playing starts and ends with Guitar Hero I'm afraid. I'm in to noodling...can't really spank out a tune; specially in front of other peeps, I go all fingers and thumbs.
Getting a guitar made from the states is saving me approximately £1000 compared to buying the real thing - don't be fooled by how grand it may seem!
I'm guessing all in for 6 months fag money
PS I can never get over my baldy patch...all 3 of them!

Ooops, starter is ready, catch you later
I'm no good with crowds of people so festivals are a big no no for me. I can just about manage a concert if I really REALLY want to go.
I thought I would stick these on here for you this was Brendon at the age of 12 you may like the guitar although he does all itruments and vocals himself, this was recorded in a studio
Two girls went to a guitar teacher in Perth who we know and asked him to teach them how to play this
