I'll take all three with pleasure  - your a star too, for many reasons
Now they are safely stored away................
You need to check your clipboard as I'm 98 days but the 3 bottles are already in my possession so you can't take them back .... I promise however there will be two left come Saturday to share about.

Titanium? So it is. I'd completely forgotten..... hahaha bet poor Jack hadn't seeing as he got the first clip with it.
*tops up Lorna and Pols three glasses again*
eaney, meaney, miney, mo - that was one and only thing I did adapt for my children
The problem with you two is you can not handle your wine, Lorna put the clip board down and it's a no to the Baileys, as it is full of cream and we are on diets!!
Right happy 99 (Lorna has been on the cooking sherry) and personally you do not look a day past 97
Marmite is banned! (suck on an oxo).
Love yer!

Hmm yummy, wonder what marizipan and marmite would be like, also need the icing with the marizpan. Had a vision of a battenburg then, this cake thing has got to end.
S*d it pass the large goldfish bowl size glass so that half a bottle of red wine doesn't look too much. Where are the salty snacks - might stay here and visit for a while.
M
Alright Pol
I was going to, but i won't and i'll wait
How about the forums FIRST marmite party to mark the occasion when it arrives?
100 glasses of red and 100 jars of the good stuff
Mah or bman would do nibbles i'm sure (dont let the knife licker help) maybe we could change some tastebuds for the better
Hope i remember now but if not have a blast and well done on the up and coming century Pol
Good Stuff xx

What is it with you lot and Marmite stop putting ideas in their heads!! However 100 glasses of red seems like a fantastic idea
Amazing...99 days, baileys and marmite. They're just spoiling you...and well deservedly too
Cav ducks the swinging titanium clipboard but doesn't spot the hurled wine thimble like glass....Oi
Marmite Party  nnnnnnnnooooooooooo
I will have to sit in a corner with extra red wine to get over the shock and horror of the browm smelly sticky stuff.....
Well after the revolutions of today fellow Octo's, I think we need a dam cellar worth of red wine.
Seems that some folk (not a quitter from October) saw fit to pm someone from October quitters and moan that they thought the humour emanating from some Octo's was inappropriate and it showed 'we' were having an easy time of things.
Humour and banter does not equal an easy quit believe me. Its a bloody good positive way of getting through the days. To the person (non humorous person with their quit and life) who sent the pm, you don't know us. You have not read our pm's and neither will you. You are not aware of the health problems we have, the busses some of us wanted to jump in front of, the mountains that seemed so high we cried at times. Somethings we dealt with privately with pm's and here, in public, we added what we thought was humour, some easy banter.
If you don't like - don't read it. And don't waste your time and our Octo members time, by pm'ing her about it.
More wine..... I've had enough marmite today as nice as it is, wine and not a fag will be best right now.
thanks to all those that have posted they find the Octos a supportive bunch and how the humour IS appreciated...... shame others didn't. We don't plan on changing.
Pol x
red wine white wine 3 bottle of bailys I don't care any all will do
ooooops humour not allowed
I honestly don't think I could have got this far without the humour - well said Pol!
I didn't receive a PM and am shocked to hear that some people did - why try to bring someone down like that? It's just petty mindedness, If we want to come on here and have a laugh whilst celebrating our milestones, at the same time as giving newer quitters hope then we WILL!!!!!!!!!
Think i might join you - what time does the Baileys truck arrive, and does it have a spout I can connect up to?
And congrats on day 99 or whatever it is! (I'm only 4 days ahead of you, and my quit counter says 102 days, which means you've done 98 days and are on day 99 - whew that made a lot more sense typing it out than it did in my head!)
XXxx

Thank you lovely cat lady - it's actually being fed intravenously tonight  I've opened up my secret bar..... it has the whole lot.... how many pipes do you want.....
Sick buckets discreetly outside in what was the smoke shed
Yay, your quit counter and mine are buddies and agree...... 99 days - extended party - for everyone, I'm feeling generous.
Cav, marmite and baileys  I'm so low maintenance my OH still can't beleive his luck after 20 years.
well said Pal I think the octos humour has helped immensely yes there are time when we have posted how we are feeling but alot of the time we are getting on with it finding the humour in difficult circumstances and not giving in, come on the octos
xx to all you leaders who we look to for help and inspiration !!!
raises white wne glass and disgusting marmite rice cracker- would rather eat dust

Oh I love you Duck...... how supportive is that? You'll eat marmite for us? hahaha but really, if you'd rather dust I have a lot of that just on my keyboard let alone in the house. Christine doesn't cook.... I don't dust or iron
Thank you though for your post and the eating of the marmited cracker xx
99/100 days already, Pol!! Great job you!! Can't add anything to the marmite discussion.... never heard of it, never tasted it! You enjoy though Well done, Pol xx

I have to do everything around here.....

Great going Pol. 100 days is a significant milestone, you really know you are onto something good when you get into triple figure days. Keep it up.
Mmmm I like marmite. I like Twiglets too! Are there any twiglets...?
I'm sure twiglets have been mentioned so bound to be some around somewhere. I'm not keen on twiglets. They are more like bovril which isn't so good but love marmite.
Thanks Deke Frenchy and Bella for stopping by and posting.
Frenchy, I think it's something most folk start having during their childhood. Try some with your boys. Very thin spreading... very very thin. See what they think.
Bella, it's available in most states I think, but a different name and slightly different ingredients so you probably never will get to know about marmite
Deke, having got this far am definitely feeling that my quit is finally beginning to solidify now some.
Looking forward now to the 6 month milestone and then a year...... it's moving on.
Pol,
I hope you chose to celebrate your 100 days alot more than i was able to at the time, its such a big milestone at your stage in the quit, and very important that you are proud of it. Well done!!
I was reading one of your replies in this thread about someone pm'ing one of your group, try to ignore that pathetic individual, whoever it is has a large and undealt with insecurity and it would seem they are not dealing with it that well. THAT is his/her problem sadly.
You're quit group MUST continue to keep posting with humour though, its what this forum needs more of.. some of the humour was like it was around summertime last year and funnily enough a
Congratulations on your 100 days, and indeed to your friends following close behind you also.
Jase
Thanks Jase
I'm sure a belated celebration for you will come about and replace the missed one for your 100 days and be enjoyed all the more for it
The pm was off someone who recently joined so we have to take some accounting of their hard times........ and whilst we haven't forgotten or ever will forget those hard times, their pm was upsetting and annoying. It's keeping those memories fresh of the tough first months that helps keep, for many of us, our quit going.
This site, it's many folk and humour have been our tools and we don't plan to change.
Pol x
I had a belated celebration at christmas with a particular aged bottle or two of good wine. Christmas held a memory of a previous failed quit for me, so i got through the day and rattled the glassed big time to celebrate
This site, it's many folk and humour have been our tools and we don't plan to change.
Its a pleasure to be a part of it for me, its been that much needed light in all those dark times
Hey Pol
Sorry I missed this one - happy 100 days well 101 now!!
The humour of the Octo's I think is fab without the Octo's and others from the forum I wouldn't be where I am and be so strong with my quit.
I think some people need to get a grip, they really do. What do they expect people to do be miserable for the rest of their lives now they have quit smoking??
Don't get me wrong everyone is going to have their good days and bad days and everyone is gonna need support at some points during their quits but some people really do need to learn to lighten up a bit.
Sorry Pol going off the subject there. WELL DONE YOU xx
Luvs ya
Tinks xx

Without humour I would be dead, it's the sort of person I am. I do understand some people have it removed at birth and sadly never get it back (oh sarcasm), but I was extremely annoyed over this 'humourgate' last night. I wish people would understand this is a support forum, not a news debating forum and I am too old to have people stamping their feet because they are not getting attention. I still remember the awful depression in month 2, the painful teeth in month 1 and the constant mood swings. Frankly if that is an easy quit I would hate to see a hard one.
Anyway moving on, 100 days what a gal! Mind you is this a good time to mention I really do think we should join an Alcohol Anonymous forum too! I am on the wagon so I will raise my coffee and say well done (don't worry abut the dishes, Lorna will do them later:D).

A virtual AA site? I think we could find one...... I virtually need one every night
*raises near empty mug with cold dregs of coffee* cheers Christine
Tinks - 100 today...... I just feel 101 my back does anyway
Just two days Chrissie, i can't take anymore... not at 100
Sue - good to see you. We are all doing great. Would like to see more of you around but appreciate your kitchen etc comes first. I think we should all come to yours once it's all sorted and lovely looking.
Jude, help yourself to Baileys.....not toooo much mind, it's going down quick. I think it's the best drink in the world next to coffee and baileys
Lorna, dish and mug washing and more Baileys please - pretty please.
xx
Woohoo...given yesterday's dry run I hope you are celebrating in some style today, Pol.
Congrats on reaching 100.
I'll raise a White Russian* in your honour.
*That'll be the drink then
Thanks you Is marmite and toast with a mug of mushy pea soup style?
Off out tonight to see a film. Would have preferred the one about Ian Dury or 42" Chest or the new one about Vamps but I was out voted and it's Avatar, which was next on my preference.
The home bar is empty - I nearly got tempted by continental larger last night:eek: I got a grip in time.
Actually I've enjoyed a 99 and 100 long celebration.... I've now had two days to realise my quit is really quite strong..... an extra day of thinking/knowing that has to be a good thing.
White russian? hmmmmmm *where's shopping list*
The cheeky of you lot....I cant be with you due to having to actually do some work for my salary this month and I come back and find piles and piles of dirty dishes.
Anyway...enough of humourgate, normal service is resumed so consider a hard whack with the clipboard for you all....for not clearing up after yourselves....and pass the red
Is it 100 days yet Poli??

Poli in a cell?
