Hi and welcome. Those are all great reasons you have there, if you are having a moment of weakness refer back to them it will help, also reading the links in peoples signitures will help and post often to let us know how you are getting on.
Well done on making the choice not to smoke, keep it up one day at a time.
Welcome Timewarp and congratulations deciding to give up the roll ups for good. I like your reasons for doing so and I wish you much luck.
Ace-wisdom as set up a social group for January quitters if you want to join in, we have called ourselves the "New Year Revolutions", obviously all quitting in Jan, have a look and see what you think?.
I didn't have smoke any tobacco yesterday, first day for 18 years, I reckon.
I did have a herbal cigarette, and I did have a chew on some niccoine gum. I was surprised by the strength of the hit off the gum, going to have to cut them in half I think.
Anyway, I plan to wean myself off the gum within a week at the very longest, and then worry about the herbal tobacco after that.
Well done on your choice to quit smoking and escape the nicotine slaverey
I like your reason to stay quit it really shows that there is alot to gain.I also have got the paul makenna sessions there very good to and great to reinforce your quit.
Click on your useraname up the top right there, Timewarp. You'll see a pannel (4th down on the right) "Group Memberships". In there click on "join social group".
They are a friendly bunch and it seems to be helpful! This is my first few days on here too and I've been plesantly surprised by how cool and non-judgemental everyone has been about things.
