Hello all you lovely people. My last attempt to give up smoking was March 08 when i succeeded for a grand total of 3 weeks..... pathetic.

Anyway since then I've lost my dad to a smoking related illness and im determined not to let my children go through what I did.

So here we go again. My day one will be on Sunday 2nd January 2010, so be prepared for lots of moans and groans.

Well done to all you quitters and be strong for those stopping imminently.

Happy New year to all of you and I know that 2010 will be a good year for all us non smokers to be:)

Speak to you all on Sunday

Pam

Hi Pam :)

Well done restarting your quit on the 2nd that's great news

I'm sorry about your Dad

Please try and spend some time reading the posts and links on here between now and the 2nd it will help you a lot OK

Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and give all new members

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathising with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

This link is good for the psychological part of quittingwhyquit.com/whyquit/A_Sympt...

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here

Love

Marg
