I'm sending Jack a tin helmet as I think he's going to be late for roll call and Lorna will take the opportunity to try out her new weapon... I mean clip board.
Good to see so many Octo's going so strong. Christmas did bring a few passing moments with it but as you say Dave, they are just moments.
Oh and in case I don't get back on my pc in the next couple of days...... Happy 2010 everyone x
Thank you JJ... I'm glad your son made it too... I had a good time, but as you say, I'm also feeling pretty sh*te at the moment, it's up and down constantly.
I've been thinking about fags a lot for the past few days, eating Haribo instead of smoking!! PMT + break up + quitting = very intense internal turmoil!!
Well done all you octquits lovely to see so many still going strong. Just think in a day or two you can all say you quit last year. CONGRATS gang.xxxxxx
I will admit, I had this huge agrument with a now ex friend AND I added up matching to the fag machine in a pub and searching for money but I just pulled myself together and thought DO NOT BE SO DAMN STUPID WOMAN!!
I never did but I so wanted to and it was very hard to walk away, but I managed it.
I've had loads of times recently that I could have used as an excuse to light up a fag...but in the end it would only be ourselves that we could blame.
You did well girl....very proud of you!!!
(You've been very quiet lately...I presumed the red wine had ran out and you were in rehab :D)

LOL, You are right, rehab do not let me have my laptop!! We (Dh and I) had flu and then we have spent the last week making up for it!! Starting diet tomorrow!
Christine - don't tell me my Octoquit girls aren't attractive, to me, you're all beautiful - you got me here, to my third month (red wine can be a b&$£"*&d sometimes)
Hello everybody... happy (and smoke-free) new year!!!
I'm still here too, without a single puff, not difficult at all for me! I hope I will continue to complete the 3rd month as well (I know I can do it)...
Don't know what the national average stats are on successful quitting but from the number of us 'reporting in' we must be doing much better.
Well done to all of us who can now say 'I stopped smoking last year'. and well done Christine for not giving in to the cigarette machine. Even when I was smoking I really resented having (note 'having', not like I had any choice in it), having to buy cigarettes from them. They were stupidly expensive.
Good for all of us - I'm off to Month 4/5 - hurry up and join me.
Sumo wrestler no 1 signing in here...could you show me the way to the dieting room please? I believe we have one reserved for octoquitters and their cuddley (lardarse?) friends....
The original lardarse group set up by red wino, I mean Christine, got deleted at Christine's request but there's another one now up and running in the Social Group area and it's called Smoke Free Porkies and Muffins (something like that anyway).....
Had a very busy Christmas and New year. I hope you all had a great time.
The boys go back to school tomorrow so all back to normal then.
Still not smoking. I am still using the nicorette tabs but only about 3 a day so not bothered about stopping them yet. I want to get over the 3 months before then.
I hope you are all well and will pop in more when the kids are back at school
Sounds like a busy Festive time for you and well done for seeing it all through smokefree
Thank you very much Jackie. Indeed, our numbers still smoke free from October are impressive.
Jackie, I hope you see a thaw in the weather very soon. Your in one of the worst hit areas and i imagine your getting pretty sick of the cold white stuff by now?
