Hi Zozie :D

Well done you getting to week three is great big Hug

Being emotional is normal this early in a quit but it will pass and most of us suffer from it anger, tears happiness you name and it happens also the constipation is par for the course as well for some of us it to goes

You don't have to apologise for anything on here we've all at some point been where you are now

So rant, moan whinge whatever it takes to get through is just fine Promise

Hi Indigo :)

Well done on your 2 weeks smoke free that's great most Doc's don't know about it because they don't bother to find out about what happens after to kick it into touch it's that simple at least that's my opinion

Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and give all new members

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathising with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

This link is good for the psychological part of quittingwhyquit.com/whyquit/A_Sympt...

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Love

Marg

Hey Indigo, Thanks for your post! Its crazy how it affects you sometimes isn't it? I wasn't prepared for feelings of bereavement (which is how it felt) crazy, but then itwas pointed out to me that 17 years of being friends with the stinky stuff, wasn't going to dissappear in 2-3 weeks, and then offered me a pole in case i wanted to beat myself up any more about it....

it all helped, and goodness knows its going to still be a while... but happily i never have to do the first 3 weeks again!

Keep going babe! We'll crack it!!! xxx

Last time I quit the cigs I was an emotional wreck after two weeks, I literally could not stop crying, so I started again.

This time to make sure I was better prepared, I went to the Docs and asked about the emotional fall out from quitting - she knew nothing about that side of things and had never heard of it!

I thought my world was falling apart when it happened and I nobody could reassure me it was ok, normal and temporary - so glad to have found this site!

Two weeks and two days now!!!! Hooray
