And day 2...

Looks like I've made it to day two... I won't lie I woke up feeling worse than I did when I fell asleep. Feeling pretty beaten up for some reason and I have very little desire to do anything productive right now. The fact I was only able to get 5 hours sleep may be making me feel worse. But despite all of this, this is me hopeful to make it to day three.

Maybe I'll feel better after my morning run... I usually do

There is nothing like a little cold turkey in the morning

Karas - Free and Healing for One Day, 6 Hours and 1 Minute, while extending my life expectancy 2 Hours, by avoiding the use of 25 nicotine delivery devices that would have cost me $18.76.

P.S. ignore the money part its not in Dollars....

Welcome to the forum, Kara and well done so far! I know during the first few days, time seems to stand still...... Some of the side effects of quitting can be so challenging.... lack of sleep and just feeling low, down, and under is all normal stuff..... it will pass! Stay strong in your resolve and keep going! Running will help you tremendously, so keep it up! Day 2 for you! Well done!

Hi Karas :D

Well done getting to your 2nd day smoke free by the end of day 3 all the nicotine will be out of your system

Feeling as you do now is normal for now but stick with it I promise it gets better sooner rather than later

I hope you felt better after the run but my advice if you can is to go with how you feel if you feel like doing nothing at all then do just that

Love

Marg xx

Well Done - keep at it. Soon be rid of the nicotine addiction, then you'll be dealing with the habit cigarette cravings. It gets easier each day.

Doing really well, I did CT also and trust me it does get better. One day at a time and before you know it the nicotine will be gone from your system and then you just have to make sure you keep your head in the right place.

Stay strong, and keep posting.

There has to be a reason the catagorys are 1, 2, 3, and 4-7. It will get easier after the third day. It won't be over, just easier. Cold Turkey is hard but it is over quick. You are doing great. Hang in there.

You asked if sleep problems are common. Yes they are. I would imagine that someone would come along with a link to an article about it. It is just the brain adapting to not having nicotine. It will pass. That I can tell you.

Yep i agree 3 days of not nice things then you start to enjoy your quit ....but you have to be on your guard because those little buggers sneek up on you .....just be ready get yourself busy and they soon pass...... i said this the other night do 10 things in your life you been waiting to do but couldn't because you couldn't be bothered, reason why you couldn't be bothered is no doubt you were tired after a long day of smoking at work etc etc ...... now you will start getting renewed energy make the most of it do these things and your craves wont bother you ....:)

Well done on your day 2, keep going and it will all get better. Someone suggested you might look at a link about sleep problems etc, you will find the website about symptoms in my signature, hope it helps.

Well this is the end of the second day. My cravings are currently at there highest levels but that is ok... It just shows me yet one more reason to quit. Even so..... annoying.

I move onto my first '3' tommorrow which im told is tough, i hope im prepared enough.

and even though i have the worst neighbours in the world who will make sure i dont sleep well tonight, this is me hopeful to make it to day 4.

day three is actually ok you know it the final day of any straggles of nicotine , a few big craves but you know the secret to get rid of both Drink plenty to flush out toxins and get busy to forget the craves, sleep will be a rest bite for you and if the neighbours get noisy best way to get them back is too get up extra early and hoover up, just put the hoover stood up against the wall of their bedroom so the front is on the skirting board turn on and go for a nice long shower that will sort the foookers out :D
