Hello everyone.

Firstly i'd like to Thank you all, when i have been creving i have been reading through various threads and not feeling alone in this crazy mission.

You all sound like you have been doing marvellously, so thought i'd say thanks!

I've been using Patches which have been going quite well, up until yesterday, when i have been having tears and tantrums over nothing really, bit like huge PMT (which i dont usually get) trials and tribulations most definately. I'm fairly convinced that it wont last and is just a 'patch' (pardon the pun) that i'm going through thwarting evil uncle Nick O'Teen...

Still feeling rather low and weepy today, and would welcome others thoughts on the 15 day thing.

Dont quit, quitting..... your all amazing strong individuals!!!

Hi Zozie :)

WOW 15 days that's great keep it going

The things you're feeling weppy etc etc are all normal this early in a quit but I promise they will pass for you

Most of us on here have had exactly the same thing happen as well

Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and give all new members

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathising with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here

are 2 I found very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com

Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

This link is good for the psychological part of quitting whyquit.com/whyquit/A_Sympt...

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Love

Marg

Thank-you!

Your support is much appreciated, i know i'm getting stronger and can do this!!! Its just a phase, and if it went on forever, then there wouldn't be so many ex-smokers surely. :)

It is a phase Zozie and to be honest you will have many more and you have to prepare for them, if you keep telling yourself it is not going to be easy and you will have ups and downs (more ups btw) but it will be worth it in the end ...when you do feel a huge crave coming on just get busy ....anything get the music on loud get the hoover out anything just take your mind of it remember the average crave only last a few minutes its the self pity we all endure after it that makes it feel worse than it actually is ....... keep going Zozie :)

Welcome to our online family, you are really doing well and no, it definitely will not last forever. The longer you are off them the easier it will become. Do lots of reading of posts and in signatures, you will for sure get there.
