Well, 10 months down and 2 to go to the penthouse. I feel great! Am working hard to lose the extra lbs. and have managed to take off 13 1/2 lbs. It's slow going, but I didn't put the weight on in a week or two! For all you people just starting out, it is well worth the time, energy, tears, and yes, even the weight gain to be free!

Jody,

well done on a grand scale. It is an achievement, and although it feels sometimes like that far into a quit that folk don't say well done as much as they did when they first found out you had quit, take that as part of being successful with it. We'd love fanfares and banners/balloons i'm sure. but there is also something rather nice about returning to a kind of normality again.. and be free from that addiction.

So top job on your quit.. be proud.. its a great thing you are continuing to do.. and this really is a life-changing correction you've made. Nice!

Keep avoiding the temptations though, especially at christmas, and above all don't fall in my trap of last year and consider a smoke on christmas day as a possible treat. Spare yourself that for me please :)

Jody, people like you give me so much strength. I read how you're doing, way down the line and I realise that could be me in a few months time. You have no idea how helpful it is.

Well done, big hoorah, bring out the bunting! So impressed!! You are strong and fabulous!

Congrats Jody, always good to see your posts.

Know what you mean about the weight though, have largely managed to stay normal, but creeping on at the moment, that's due to injury though and the fact I can't leave the pies alone! Or the crisps, chocolate and booze, have stopped treating my months with a home made cake though which is a step in the right direction. Did bake one that looked too bad to be given away but tasted bloody lovely as I ate 20 slices of it. At the time was running 40 miles a week though, nay impact - there would be now.

Hopefully will pick up some of your determination to stop ruddy chomping, you are an inspiration.
