thats great you have set a quit date :):) . You are on the road to making one of the best decisions in your whole life.

You can prepare for this date and make the whole process a lot easier on yourself

Understand your addiction - There are two websites that will help in overcoming the deception that the addiction dishes out... ffsonline.org is a great free online quit smoking program designed to help a person understand the reasons why you smoke. It also deals with the triggers (those built-in and programmed moments one usually lights up) of the quit. Knowing and understanding these a person is able to recognize them and deal with them properly when they happen.

The program might start from weeks before your quit date but you have set a quit date ...stick to it and adjust the program accordingly ..I didnt find this program till a few days into my quit and it was a great help to me .

Also the website whyquit.com is full of articles and info on the nicotine addiction and i strongly recommend reading through them .

Education is the key to beating it.

I have been on a 'stop, then restart within a couple of days' cycle for a few months but have decided to put some serious effort into a quit once again, starting Sunday.

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

Read,read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

hello all im on 3 day of champlix going ok just starting to feel dizy now hope it doesnt last smoking is strating to tast horrible, i just hop i dont get to many bad side affects carnt afford that as i have 5 children to look after and 1 with autisim
