Just wondering what people have decided to do with the money saved from not smoknig or indeed for those who have quit for a while what did you do with that money.
I'm looking at around £150 a month probably more as I'll be drinking less beer!
£1800 in a year that's 2 weeks 4* all inclusive in Egypt

Interesting and in fairness I'm just approaching week 4 and I've not actually thought about it. However I've just done the calculation, I smoked between 20-30 a day Marlboros at £ 5.80 per pack so that is roughly £ 2,600 per year (that is smoking 25 per day roughly). Flipping heck:eek:
Hubby and I are travel addicts (we are on a mission to see as much of the world before we die and I've just saved myself 20 years by quitting!!) so I think it may go towards an extra holiday next year, hooray!
Having got family members who live overseas, there was always someone going or coming and would bring me some half price baccy. My savings from not smoking aren't that great but I'm still saving and it's about six squid a week. I'm just a big softy so any saving that I do see will be sent to my son at uni toward his bills for gas and elec
Travel definatly travel....always bought our cigs abroad it was a good excuse for an extra holiday every year
Hubby has also given up so we are planning a long haul next year...always avoided going too far on the plane as UH could not manage longer than 4 hours.
Thats the long term treat....medium term treats monthly will be shoes (actually boots next week)...short term, daily, wine and chocs......
I bought myself a new camera .......a canon powershot XS1 IS digital.....Im loving it and every time I think about having a smoke (only a couple of times...lol..) I think about my camera and my new pc I'm building Wouldnt have either of them if I still smoked
Just worked out I've saved about £300 so far. First £150 was used to pay for the Champix. I was in France at the time I was prescribed it and had to pay for the prescription. Probably the best £150 I've spent.
In fact, when I handed over my Euros, I thought that I'd better stop smoking for three weeks to get my money back. Shows how half-hearted I was about it.
Not sure now. What I'd like to do is get my teeth pearly white with some whizzo dental treatment, but I'm a real coward where dentists are concerned. If anyone knows a pain-free tooth whitening process, I'd be happy to hear about it.
