  • Hey mum of 4,

Sounds like you had a very hard day. If being a mum of four isn't hard enough, I can't even begin to imagine what it can be like trying to give up smoking at the same time. Hats off to you!

You're on day 8, you've made it past the week mark and you and your family must be very proud of you. Well done.

Did you give yourself a wee reward for reaching a week?

  • Awww thank you for your kind words..u no i really needed that today lol

Well my reward was signing up to the gym this morning. Never been in one in my lfe but luckily my mate started with me who has also quit smoking.I actually enjoyed it to my suprise..thought it would be full of posers but it wernt lol

It was only the induction today so the sweating starts tomorow lol

My youngest has just started nursery so i intend to nip to the gym for an hour in the mornings and still might have chance to get my jobs done before i pick little un up.I desperatly dont want to gain weight...2 stone is what spoilt my last quit of 15 months. I was silly and started smoking again 6 months ago just to lose the weight! Hated myself for doing it but hey ho thats the past and ive learned form it.

I dont think my hubby and kids are proud of me yet....think they all on edge bless them.

My eldest son is 15 and he is the biggest wind up merchant goin grrrr....keeps singing round the house that mum not gonna do it and i need a fag lololol Love him to bits but hes very trying at the moment lol

Hey Mum of 4 well done how good are you before yo uknow it you will be saying look at me month 4 :) great effort keep it up you are a star :)

  • Well done Mum of four :) I got a bit ratty last night. It didn't last and I'm back to my normal, sweet loving self :p

Keep at it, and well done for joining the gym. Something I may have to think about too, as like you I put on weight the last time I quit.

  • I am also mum of 4 with a 15 yr old that likes to wind me up at the slightest chance but on the whole they have all been supportive to me and OH (who quit at exactly the same time). Keep at it, the days where you want to slap, maim or even kill do get further apart - with me (i am on day 25) this has gone from every minute of every day to once every other day and thats usually cos I am tired cos I dont think i know anyone who has quit that has had a decent nights sleep for the first month or so.

You are doing fantastically well and should be really proud of yourself.

Next time you feel irratated go for a walk or get in the bath or go to bed it works wonders.

    Jx
