Hi, I'm nearly at the end of day 7 and I hope that the worst is over with now. it hasn't been so much the craving a cigarette, although I have a bit, I have just felt so low in mood and really lethargic. I have recently started a placement as a student social worker, and I have been taking some chinese herbal medicine for problems with adult acne so my low mood could be related to that too. Also I have had a rather tough supervision, and have been falling out with my mum so that hasn't helped.
Sorry for moaning on! Hopefully as I'm getting into week 2 I will start to feel a little better...
I'm using nicotine gum, chewing gum, drumstick lollies and eating a little bit more than usual. I've also bought myself some perfume with roughly 1 weeks worth of cig money (£35) and keep spraying myslef, as well as putting on hand cream. Is the mood due to withdrawal as I have only been smoking 'full time' for a couple of months again this time?
Thanks.

Hi well done for getting this far.I know where u are coming from regarding the mood.Yesterday was my worst day ever! I was so irratble and angry and gosh i cant describe how i felt.My stomach was churning inside grrrrrrrrrr horrible.I sooooo wanted a fag but didnt crack.I was on the 2mg chewing gum but today i have bought the 4mg and feel loads better for it.
Thanks! Well done to you too. It will be 2 weeks on Wednesday. I really don't think about cigs that much. Its just feeling rubbish that was getting me down. I've also been spending quite a lot of money treating myself but I'm sure that will reduce shortly.
The 2mg gum is fine for me. I don't really bother with it now, but its there if I feel like it will help.

Glad to hear that you are still around and happy with your smoke free decision. I have already been smoke free for a week and after Tuesday it will be two weeks. I don't think about cigarettes that much really. My main thing to watch is "testing' myself when around smokers, I'm just going to take it one day at a time.
