Well, I have saved £25 this week by not smoking so treated my self to a new DS game.

What have you treated yourself too with the extra money or what are you saving for? Just interested!

i've never been so rich!! im not smoking but more importantly on the money front, im in the pub a whole lot less as well and saving a bloomin fortune its great.

theres always so many things i can never normally afford to do that id like to, now its looking like some of these can be possible. what great motivation.

Yea ti's great what you can suddenly afford.

I Have given up some hours at work - I used to do 3 nights - and then increased to 4 ten hour night shifts every week ,walking 2 miles there and back , with only 2 days off in a row-and the money from one ten hour night shift was my smoking money- more actually, it was a third of my wages.! Can't believe i used to spend that, and that i was prepared to physically exhaust myself further just to be able smoke 40 cigarettes a day!:D

But yeah, when i first started my stopping (which has been going on for about a year now, off and on) I bought loads of things which i never wouldve been able to afford. It's nice buying stuff like perfume, cos you can actually properly smell it, and eating really nice food cos you can taste it! And holidays, I'm still planning- I would've never been able to afford to think about much more than a week in Cornwall

It is great having money to spend on treats....I was saving for a new laptop....but....my camera is playing up....sooooo....I am going to buy a new one....a flash one:Dtwice as much as what I have saved .......but.....I will just have to pay it back from my kitty.....more incentive for me :D and it should keep me amused for a while (working out how to work it) and keep my mind of other things;)

In month two i bought:

Nintendo Wii Console (incl Wii Sports)

Nintendo Wii Resort (which is yet more sports) Included a mod for the controller

a Second Wii Controller and a mod to go with it for Wii Resort 2 player stuff.

Star Wars Force Unleashed for the Wii.

Its quite active playing the games on it, and fun too, but thats been my treat(s) so far.

I treated myself to 3 jelly donuts, 2 apple turnovers and Mcdonalds for dinner. I know it is horrible but I can't think of anything to buy that would make me feel better. MAYBE IN TIME

Well, I'm not really planning on treating myself with the money as it will just go back into the house (we're finishing the basement and landscaping). But I am treating myself. Every Friday (today!!! TGIF) I allow myself ANYTHING I want to eat without regard for fat or health! I'm sure going to enjoy those tempura prawns for dinner. :D
