....and couldn't be feeling better! It's now over 6 weeks ago that I quit. For me, the 5 week mark was the real turning point in that I didn't think so much about fags.....I don't mean craves, just generally thinking about them as part of daily routine. I think my brain has eventually accepted that NOT smoking is now normal for me. I've used 13 pieces of 2mg NRT gum in 16 days. So, during the past 6 weeks I've done the holiday, had a huge stressy argument with OH, dealt with the kids whilst they've been on school holidays (definitely the stressiest time :D), dealt with ill health, had a fair few glasses of wine and a couple of nights out......and......I've managed all of these without one fag.
I hope everyone else is doing just fine. Not had a chance to read many of the posts from last week and catch up with all the latest fag-free thoughts and activities of my fellow quitters.

I'm about 4 days behind you in time gone without a smoke, and can definitely say the same about smoking. I just don't desire one. I get the odd pang, but its actually not making me want to smoke at all, its just a moment that with a little work i just get through.
Honestly, you could put a packet under my nose now, you could make me hold one, but nothing would make me smoke one.
Wonderful isn't it and to have put up with lifes normal stresses without having to cope with feeding an addiction constantly is a definite step in the right direction. Just a matter of maintaining this now.
