Wow cant believe its day 3 already these 24hr patches are great although wasnt feelin great this morn ,ive smoked for 12 yrs thought there was no way out but hey day 3 wohoo;)

Day 3 is great well done you just hang in there

Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and send all new

members

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Congrats on getting to day 3.. may the coming 2 days grant you the extra mental strength to resist any and all temptation and that you keep the moods to a minimum. good luck.. get yourself through the next few days, and you'll see it start getting easier than you've even found thusfar.

I'm using patches, and now in my final week of the step 1's.. then i go down to step 2's.

Just keep a spare patch in your jacket pocket should you forget to renew. I tend to put a new one on in the mornings, but always keep one in my work jacket just in case i get a crazy morning where i'm up late and rushing round late for work.

another piece of advice is careful at nighttime.. if you start waking up in the night after crazy as heck dreams (or nightmares in some cases), then consider removing them a little before bed time.

by week 3 i was keeping them on at night (24 hour ones), and was having dreams that stephen spielberg would have been proud to direct as films :)

Congratulations at reaching day 3 - that's great going. You sould nice and positive too - that's fab stuff! :D
